| Main purpose | Automated geometric measurement of railway bogie parts by a programmed laser scanning method |
| System composition | Robot manipulator with optical sensors, control terminal, motorized platform, locating blocks, calibration blocks and working accessories |
| Measurement process | Parts are fixed on locating blocks, moved into the inspection zone, scanned, compared with the CAD model and recorded in a protocol |
| Adaptation | The measuring configuration can be rebuilt for different part types within the scanner reach zone |
| Accuracy range | Depends on the integrated laser scanner model and typically ranges from 0.005 to 0.5 mm |
Description
ROBOSKOP VTM-5000 LS is designed for automated measurement of railway bogie components. The installation combines a robot manipulator, optical sensors and a motorized platform to position the part, execute the programmed measurement cycle and record the result without manual adjustment during the process.
During inspection, the component is placed on locating blocks and transferred into the measuring zone. The laser system captures geometry across the part, compares the obtained parameters with a graphical template based on a CAD model and generates a protocol for further evaluation and archiving.
For non-standard part designs, the measuring system can be configured individually with auxiliary servo mechanics. This allows the installation to cover different bogie elements while maintaining stable process control and measurement repeatability.
